Compatibility Checker
You will need the North American version of the Light Phone.
It uses the following 4G LTE Bands:
B2, B4, B12, B13, B17, B25, B26
What if my carrier wasn’t listed?
Unfortunately, if your carrier is not listed, it is unlikely to be compatible. You can email us at support@thelightphone.com to see if we know more about your carrier. We don’t support most partner carriers (MVNOs) of the large carriers unless they are listed. If you purchase for a carrier not listed here, it’s at your risk - we don’t accept returns for lack of carrier support if not listed as compatible here.
Can I travel outside of that region?
This model of the Light Phone is optimized for North America, and though it may be able to get service outside of the intended region, the coverage may be less reliable and we cannot recommend doing so. If the region you are trying to use the Light Phone II does not support any of the antenna bands of this model, it may not get any coverage unfortunately.
You will need the International version of the Light Phone.
It uses the following 4G LTE Bands:
B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B20, B28

Can I travel outside of that region?
This model of the Light Phone is optimized for Europe, Asia, parts of South America, Australia and a few other countries globally. Though it may be able to get service outside of the intended region, the coverage may be less reliable, and we cannot recommend doing so. If the region you are trying to use the Light Phone II does not support any of the antenna bands of this model, it may not get any coverage unfortunately.
The Light Phone II is in English
Note that while the Light Phone II is supported by carriers in many countries globally, the phone interface uses the English language. The phone is able to view incoming messages in a variety of languages and character types, however, the keyboard currently only supports "QWERTY", "QWERTZ" & "AZERTY" layouts, including characters like à,á,â,ä etc. We do plan to expand our support of other keyboards layouts with future software updates.
Unfortunately, none of the current versions of the Light Phone II are compatible with your region.
There are a variety of factors; some carriers require special certifications, some regions we haven't been able to test thoroughly, and other regions use different network antennas altogether. As a small team based in New York, we are still in the process of expanding our phone's reach.
We appreciate you checking out the Light Phone. We're sorry for the disappointing news and we hope that we can share a Light Phone with you in the future. Thanks for understanding.
