Our service plans are designed specifically for the Light Phone, streamlining the process of going light. All U.S. Light Phone orders include a free SIM card.
You can keep your existing phone number or get a new one.

Unlimited calls & messages & data for hotspot usage.
By signing up for one of our Light service plans, you are directly helping support our ongoing development of new features and upgrades. You can sign up for the service plan at any point, contract-free, as long as you have an unused Light SIM card. The Light Service is currently limited to users in the United States
The Light Service uses AT&T’s towers.
(We manage all Light service plans in house, so for all account inquiries please reach out to email@example.com. AT&T does not have access to view or modify Light service accounts in any way.)
How does it work?
Our plans are designed for using the Light Phone II as your primary phone. The SIM card is free, and you will not be charged for a plan until you decide to activate the SIM card by signing up for one of our Light Service plans using the Dashboard website. The plan is billed on a 30 day period.

What's my phone number?
You can port your existing phone number, or we can provide a new phone number for you.
Unlimited does mean unlimited calls and texts within the United States. There are separate charges for international calls which vary in price by region.
1GB & 5GB plans offer different data options for users which is required for certain features like streaming podcasts or hotspot.
The $70/mo. unlimited data plan is intended for users who plan to heavily use the Light Phone's hotspot functionality. It is an unlimited data plan, but it does begin to throttle after heavy usage as is common with carrier unlimited plans. After 22GB & up to 50GB, data usage is slowed to a max of 3 Mbps, after 50GB data is slowed to 128 Kbps for the rest of the billing cycle. This throttling may impact the functionality of data-intensive applications like video streaming.
There is a 10% recovery fee that covers all taxes including a variety of fees like the Public Safety Communications Surcharge (a fixed rate added to all lines) and local state taxes & fees, which are usually percentage-based.
Unfortunately we do not yet offer family plans on the Light Service, although this is something we'd like to support in the future. If you plan to use multiple Light Service lines, we recommend activating the lines using the same Light Account to centralize all your Light Service plans on one account and email.

The Light Service is not mandatory for using the phone. The Light Phone II is unlocked, and can be used with the following carriers in the U.S.:
AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon (except for prepaid plans and Number Share), Ting, Mint, US Mobile.
If you choose to use a SIM from one of these carriers, you will not need a Light Service plan.
If your carrier is not specifically listed above, it will not work with the Light Phone. We cannot accept a return if your Light Phone is failing with an incompatible carrier.
